The AVFN Electronic Heritage Site has been designed to preserve the oral histories of many Mi'kmaq families connected with the AVFN Reserve in Cambridge, Nova Scotia.

The oral histories have been collected on film and are arranged, here, on a topographical map of the Annapolis Valley First Nation's Reserve.

If you click on a photo within the map you will be taken to a map giving you access to all of the stories shared by that individual.

You can also access the full length videos by using the links below this map.

To properly view the videos you will need Adobe Flash Player, download it by clicking the link. Otherwise, you will be prompted to
download this and Google's video player the first time you attempt to view a clip. Be patient, these items take time to download
and videos need a moment to load.
The above layout options provide unique ways to view site content. Using the individual map option you can view full length clips and segmented clips on a number of topics for each speaker. The community map option provides only the full length videos for each speaker but users can access information from one central map.
The views expressed in the following films are not necessarily those of Annapolis Valley First Nation, VCLA, or their partners.
